Using Your Blog For Internet Wealth

By Corzetta Willis

Blogging is something which is becoming more and more popular with everyday people in todays culture. It is easy for anyone to sign up on the Internet for a free blog and begin to record their thoughts, ideas, and memories. These blogs can be a great platform for anyone who is seeking to have a voice in the noisy world of today. What most people don't consider, however, is that they can use these same blogs to begin to make some money. The Internet wealth which is
available to anyone wanting to use their blog to make money can also be very easily attained.

If a person decides to dedicate their blog toward information about a certain topic, it is only natural that advertisements toward that same general area could greatly enhance that blog itself. By opening a persons blog to advertisements, they give themselves the chance to make some money. These advertisers will reward the person running the blog every time that someone clicks on the advertisement listed in the blog. Every time that a person buys a product after clicking that link, the person running the blog will get a percentage of the profit. This can quickly build up into Internet wealth.

The most work that will have to go into building Internet wealth in this fashion is ensuring that the blog is frequently updated with relevant information. Advertising on a blog is only going to be beneficial if the person has a number of dedicated readers to the blog. This will come when they make a number of posts which are not only full of information but are interesting to read and are frequently updated. The more often a person makes worthwhile posts, the more readers they will begin to gain. This is how an advertising system will begin to work well as these readers will eventually be interested by the products being offered and will follow the links. The Internet wealth possible from these blogs can be very easily managed once the blog is successfully followed by the public.

Another way to build Internet wealth using the blog is to allow other work at home companies to advertise their services on your blog such as paid online surveys, these companies will offer your clients a place to make more money and will bring those interested in that kind of employment to your site and possibly give you more customers.

Blogger Tutorials - How to Use Blogger

By Antonio Seegars
Starting a blog using blogger can be a simple or hard process depending on how to about doing it.
If your new to blogging, Blogger may be the best choice for you to start out with. After you've gotten your feet wet a little bit, or if you want to use your blog for business purposes you can think about switching to Wordpress. Wordpress in my opinion is a much better blogging system for people who are serious about blogging. But if your just blogging for entertainment purposes, Blogger is probably sufficient for your blogging needs.
Getting started with a Blogger blog is simple, all you need to do is go to Blogger.com and sign up for a free blog. If you use Gmail you don't even need to create a new account, you can just use your gmail account.
After you sign-up for your blog you need to choose a name and a template for it. The subject of your blog should determine the name of it. So try to pick a name that identifies with the subject of your blog. You don't want to mislead people and then have them turn away once they get to your blog. Try to give your blog a name that people can remember.
After picking a name for your blog its time to pick a template to design your blog around. Templates are good if you don't know how to design blog templates. The template that you choose isn't permanent so if you decide that you don't like the look of your blog, later on you can change it.
Once you've finished naming and designing the look of your blog, the next step is providing content for it. You can either create original content for your blogs yourself or you can use free information on the internet for blog content.

By using affiliate marketing, you are able to place an affiliate marketing product on your blog so that people can click on the link and purchase that item. When they do, you get a commission.
You also get a commission if you place AdSense ads on your site. When readers click on the ads, you get a commission from that as well. The commissions may be small, but they do add up. However, you have to keep in mind that any commission program that you use gives you the opportunity to make money even when you are not sitting at your computer.

10 Effective Ways to Build Blog Backlinks

By Rob Dunsmuir

Do you want to boost your blog in Google?! You can give your blog a huge kick by backlinking with other websites. I know this isn't new news, but so many people forget to build strong and relevant backlinks to their websites. I'd like to give you some important tips, and helpful ideas to give your blog that kick it needs!

Here's 10 tips to build backlinks to your blog:

1. Search Out A BackLink Tool

In order to build backlinks for your blog, you'll need a backlink tool or service that will help you find backlinks. There's lots of great tools out there to cut down the workload of finding backlinks. BackLink Agent is easy to use, you just enter your keywords and select the type of links you want to find - and BackLink Agent does all the work for you!

2. Relevant & Related Websites

Now that you're finding backlinks for your bog, there's two types of backlinks for your blog - and I call them the two R's:

Relevant & Related.

It's very important to only link to relevant or related websites. If your blog is about Water Skiing and you're backlinking with websites that are about Body Building - there isn't a relevant or related connection. Visitors will be turned off because they don't find any relationship between your blog and the website they just came from.

3. Reputable Websites

Reputable - the 3rd 'R' that often gets forgotten. Building backinks to your blog can be all for nothing, if you link to websites that aren't reputable. Let's use a neighbourhood analogy - you have a nice house, you maintain it, paint it, keep you yard clean - it should be worth some nice money. But the neighbours have burned out cars in their front yard... Now the neighbourhood doesn't look so hot. Your website can do the same by linking to websites that aren't reputable.

How do you tell a website is reputable? Ask yourself these questions:

- What's your initial impression of the website? Is it eye catching, or ugly?

- Is the information relevant, well written?

- Would I buy from this website?

- Check the website's Alexa rating (www.alexa.com), under 1 million is alright

4. Directory Sites

If you want to build blog backlinks then getting your blog backlinked in a directory is a hot idea. Directories like www.DMOZ.org for example have a really deep category & subcategory system - so you can get really specific about where you want to build your blog backlink.

5. Add/Submit Url Sites

As mentioned before, BackLink Agent has a tool to help you find websites that accept url submissions. So what you would do is search with one of your keyword phrases, like 'jet boat water skiing' and see what websites are available. Now you can submit your url to them and create a backlink for your blog.

6. Related Forums

Forums can be an amazing means for building blog backlinks. What you do is use BackLink Agent to search out related forums. I recommend adding your blog url as a backlink in your forum signature. Then every post you make has a backlink to your blog. A good forum post can send 100s of visitors to your blog in a week, or even a day!

7. Competition Spy

A little bit of competition can be a good thing - but the Internet can provide 1000s of competitive websites with a few keystrokes. What if you were able to see the backlinks that your competition have for their websites?

BackLink Agent has a way cool tool to sniff out competition backlinks. All you do is enter your competition's url (with http://) in the search field and pick 'Competition Spy' and see all the links that the website is linked to. The Internet is one big backlink, so it's a great way to find more backlinks for your blog.

8. Give Your Article Or Lens An Added Boost

If you've written a article and want to get it indexed faster by Google or ranked higher - backlinking your blog to your new article will help it out! Just write a teaser article, under 300 words and add a few links to the new article in your blog post.

9. Page Rank 7 Or Higher

I go by the Rule of 7 - Google page rank of 7 or higher is a great site to backlink your blog to. Less than 7, it's alright but still do #3 on it.

10. Ping Your Backlinks

Once you've sniffed out backlinks for your blog with BackLink Agent, ping your articles or blog posts (or blog RSS feed). Just do a Google search for 'blog ping service' there's lots out there.

So there you have it! Now you're educated and you can go find backlinks for your blog, website or landing pages. Backlinks are the lifeblood of promoting your website. Building backlinks can be so easy, and benefit your blog!

Try BackLink Agent for Free Build backlinks to your blogs or landing page and boost your placement in Google! BackLink Agent can help you find 100s of related & relevant backlinks. Rob lives in British Columbia Canada and has run an IT company since 1994.

5 Tips to Improve Your Blogging

By Terry Philpott
Are you always on the lookout for ways to improve your blogging? With the many aspects involved in maintaining and building a blog it's understandable that certain areas of your blogging may have become stale. Every blog whether it's new or established can benefit from periodic reevaluations.

Here are 5 blogging tips that should help tune-up and re energize any blogs performance.

1. Know your Subject

It's always a good idea to possess a certain amount of knowledge concerning your selected subject matter. Your choice of topic could be based upon a personal interest or perhaps something you want to learn about. Either way you'll want to be familiar with the subject so that you're content will be informative and fresh for your readers.

2. Don't Stray from your Subject

Remain consistent with the theme of your blog. If your blog is about water sports for instances, don't start posting on embroidering unless it is somehow related to water sports. The point here is that if you start to veer from your original subject then readers will become confused and uninterested. After all they were attracted to your blog based upon the original theme. You've worked hard for these subscribers and you don't want to lose them like that.

3. Maintain Quality Content

As mentioned previously you'll want to have a certain amount of familiarity with the subject you are blogging about. This will be reflected in the quality of the content you post on your blog. This information needs to be interesting and informative for your visitors. The reason they've subscribe is their interest in the subject and obvious yearning to learn more about it. They're counting on you to supply them with this educational information. It also wouldn't hurt to inject humor where appropriate for the entertainment element it brings to the post.

4. Post Frequently

For a number of reasons it is advantageous to post often to your blog. Firstly it keeps your readers coming back for the new content. Another benefit of regular posting is it attracts the search engines to 'crawl' your site for the new content and as a result it will boost your search engine rankings. This is why search engines love blogs, for the continual updates and fresh content.

If you are sometimes 'lacking' inspiration or fresh information on which to post, do some research, which you should already be doing, and rewrite something you may have found interesting. Referencing other sites for good information is another way to circumvent the occasional writers block and improve search engine rankings.

5. Easy to Read Posts

Publish your content in a concise and easy to read fashion. Don't make your readers have to try and figure out what your saying.

If you're truly intent on how to improve your blogging without 'reinventing the wheel' these 5 blogging tips, if put into regular practice, will definitely get you results.

Finding the Right Blogging Software

By Patrick G. Moore

Do you use blogging software to maintain all your blogs? Most blogger would have many blogs to manage and therefore in need of a software that can help to ease their blogging activity. If you are a professional blogger, you would have notice that there are quite a selection of blogging software in the market and the problem is choosing the right software. However, you can do a quick search to find out what other users have to say about a particular blogging software that you are interested in.

The most successful blogging software in the market is Firepow. It is created by Andrew Hansen to help blogger to manage all their blogs in one place and by just using one log in account. This is accessible for those who are using Wordpress as their blogging platform. Firepow is integrated with Wordpress so you don't have to log in to different blog accounts to update your blogs.

Firepow is indeed a blogging software that works. Although it is still new with constant bug fix but the service itself is excellent. You don't need to install the software because it is browser operated so you just need to be online and log in with one user name and password. You will then redirected to your main page so you can navigate around whether you want to post new articles or make changes. Otherwise, you can even promote your blogs from within Firepow itself.

However, while Firepow is genuine, there are some other blogging software that are scams all in the name to gain quick profits rather than providing long lasting services for the customers. It is always best to make a background check on the blog posting software you are interested in to avoid being at the losing end. Besides, everyone wants to get the best blogging software and these conman will find their way to cheat around.

Patrik G Moore is an avid blogger and webmaster of a many blogs and websites. In blogpostingsoftwares.com he suggests blogger to devour Blogging to the Bank 3 as well as his Firepow Review

5 Top Tips For Creating Blog Revenue

By Lee Scutchings

Creating blog revenue is simply a matter of properly setting up your blog with various income producing products and programs, and then getting as many new and repeat visitors as possible to view your pages on a consistent basis.

So here are five easy ways for you to begin generating a blog revenue.

1. Google Adsense

The first thing I want to talk about is setting up your blog to offer the Google Adsense affiliate program.

If you have a blogger.com blog, putting Adsense on to it is very easy. If you are not a member of the Google Adsense program you will need to apply for it first. Just go to the Google homepage, click on the advertising programs link (bottom left) and follow the instructions for setting up Adsense.

Once you are approved you can add different block sizes of ads to each post just by clicking on a couple of buttons. This is something you will want to play with in your blogger.com account when you are setting up your blog and when you are posting various articles to it.

If you use another form of blogging platform, such as WordPress.com, there are plug-ins that can be installed that will instantly add Google Adsense ads to various locations on your blog including your header, sidebar, footer, and in the body of each post.

The Adsense revenue that you earn is paid each time a visitor clicks on one of your ads. This can range from a few cents per click to as high as several dollars per click depending on your niche.

Over the course of a month this passive form of revenue can add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

2. Banners

Another good way to make money with your blog is to add banners to various affiliate programs that you can join for free.

The key here is to join affiliate programs that match the theme of your blog. For example, do not put cooking banners on a music blog.

You can join affiliate programs and be assigned an ID number that is coded in each banner that you place on your blog. Each time someone clicks on one of those they are taken to your affiliate webpage, where if they make a purchase you earn a commission.

Banners are great to add to your blog because they add color and excitement as well as give you another form of income when you make a sale.

3. Hyperlink Keywords

A third way to make money blogging is to hyperlink keyword phrases in each blog post back to a sales letter or affiliate page where you are offering a product.

As you get better at doing this you can even upload pictures and hyperlink those pictures back to sales pages.

Clickbank.com is a great place to find affiliate products to sell relating to almost any blog article.

It's the largest information e-book affiliate program in the world and once you become a Clickbank affiliate you will have access to thousands of potential products that can earn you money on each sale.

4. Sell Advertising Space

Number four in my blog revenue tips is selling text link advertising to other bloggers or websites.

If you do not want to, or don't have time to find people to sell to individually you can investigate companies such as Text Link Brokers and make money selling text links through them.

Your blog will need to be established before you can start offering this, as potential advertisers will only be willing to pay good money if their ads are going to be seen by a large amount of traffic.

5. Build That List

The final way I want to discuss is building an opt in e-mail list.

By adding a sign-up form to your homepage, and every single other page, you can capture names and e-mail addresses for future follow-ups in an auto responder.

This is a very smart way to make money from your blog because it gives you a way to follow-up with visitors in the future that you would not otherwise have.

You will also hear many experienced marketers keep saying 'the money is in the list' and it is estimated that each person on your list should make you, on average, $1 per month so, build your build your list up to 1,000, 5,000, or 10,000 and you can see what potential this technique offers!

Ok, so there you have it, my five favorite ways to create blog revenue.

There are many, many more ways to make money with your blog, and as you begin to develop yours it is just a case of implementing the ones with which you are most comfortable.

My advice is to have at least 5 or 6 different income streams set up so that if there are any problems with one of them it's not going to hugely impact your overall blog revenue.

How to Edit Your Blogger Templates

By Tracey A Edwards

Are you tired of the regular templates that come with Blogger? Well never fear because this article will show you how you can change the colors and layout of your chosen template into something that's unique and attractive. You can add different headers, change the background, and even change the font style and the best thing is that it's actually very simple. So let's get started so you can learn how to edit your Blogger templates.

We will start with the easy stuff first and change the fonts and colors of your template. Head to your Blogger Dashboard and click the layout tab. From there you'll see four links. Choose the font's and colors link and you'll be taken to a page that is split into two sections. The top section contains the items that you can edit and change and the bottom section gives you a preview of what that change will look like. Feel free to change and play around as much as you like because nothing with actually be changed until you press the Save Changes button, so if you choose a color or font that you don't like you can always cancel those changes. Once you are happy with your template then save your changes and you are done.

Next let's add a custom header to our page. Most Blogger template headers are defaulted to display just text but you can easily add an image behind the text or even to replace the text at the top. Go to the Layout Tab and click on the Page Elements link. You'll see a page that shows the basic layout of your blog. Find your header at the top and click the Edit link to bring up the Configure Header display. From here you can upload your image and choose to have it behind your test or instead of your text. Most Blogger header sizes are 730 pixels wide so keep this in mind when making your header graphic.

Advanced editing can also be done to your template however you will need some html and css knowledge before you decide to try and rewrite any code. However there are some simple things that you can do that shouldn't be too hard. The first is changing the background color of your page. Scroll down until you see the body stylesheet of the template. This is where you'll find the basic information about your template such as background color, line-height and general font-size. If you know the hexadecimal color that you want for your background then just replace the hex number (the number that starts with a hash (#)) with your new hex number.

In the advanced editing section you can also add your Google Analytics code at the bottom of the template before the /body tag if you would like to track your visitors.
